Leadership matters, but it succeeds only when it is matched by the people’s readiness to play their part. A call to honest reflection and shared responsibility. How it works: Read each principle and commit if you agree.

1. Understanding the Crisis

Are we willing to face the real scale of our national crisis, not only poverty and high prices, but corruption, wastage, weak institutions, and a population growing faster than schools, hospitals, jobs, and land can keep pace with?

2. Sacrifice and Discipline

Are we prepared to make hard sacrifices for national renewal, to reject corruption, end wastage, and live responsibly in leadership, family, and community life?

3. National Unity

Are we ready to rise above tribe, region, and party, and stand together as one people united for a nation that works for all?

4. Truth and Responsibility

Are we willing to face hard truths about our economy, governance, and our own conduct, refusing comforting lies that have cost us too much?

5. Shared Accountability

Will we hold ourselves and our leaders accountable for how we manage resources and fulfil constitutional duties?

6. Choosing Leaders

Will we elect leaders of integrity and competence, not those who exploit tribe, populism, or money?

7. Rule of Law and Constitution

Will we know, defend, and live by the Constitution as the foundation of justice and strong institutions?

8. Equality Before the Law

Will we respect the law equally, that no one is above it and no citizen beneath its protection?

9. Living Within Our Means

Will we live within our means as a country, reject reckless debt, pay taxes faithfully, and add value to our own resources?

10. Funding Our Own Democracy

Will we fund our own democracy so that it serves Zambians, not donors or corrupt financiers?
